The “Campania Felix” as it was called by the ancients that have been able to hold in this concise but meaningful definition all that was and still is contained in this splendid region… history, art, mysteries, and natural beauties. The amenity of the places, the colours, the odours, the traditions so various between one small town and the other, are the result of ancient dominations but, still today, they have left important traces, to make the region Campania very interesting all way round.  Entering in all these varieties can only make the journey extremely pleasant because you are captured by the desire of knowledge and  to relish to the end all that surround us.

COSTIERA AMALFITANA

Fascination and ability to charm is the Costiera Amalfitana; with its sea, its caves, its colours and its flavours, inherited by the ancient Saracen raids. The many small towns of Costiera can pass on to the visitor feelings of well being, interior peace and desire to life. That blue sea, the clean air and that slothful tranquillity of the small villages on its slopes, make this area the ideal place to unplug, and to dedicate some time to ourselves. The all Costiera Amalfitana and its villages, the stone stairs that climb them up and down have been declared UNESCO world heritage.

 AMALFI

It is one of the four “Marine Republics” that, with Pisa, Genoa and Venice used to compete to rule over the Mediterranean.Beautiful is its Dome of arabesque style that goes back the XI century. To visit the museum of the paper, very old Amalfitan art for the hand production of the famous charta bambacina   with precious watermark.

 CONCA DEI MARINI

The ancient Cossa, an emerald mounted on a jewel, like the “Emerald Grotto” taking its name from the reflexes and the colour of the sea inside the cave.

 FURORE

A tiny marine village, where time seems to have stopped, in a narrow creek of the coast, so-called “fiord of Furore”

 RAVELLO

It enchanted Richard Wagner. From the terrace of Villa Cimbrone that he used to call “a terrace to the infinite” he had the inspiration for many of his musical masterpieces. Still today Ravello lives of music and arts welcoming performances well known around the world.

 POMPEI –ERCOLANO

The mystery of a natural disturbing event, the eruption of Vesuvio in 79 AD, which has left in Pompeii and Ercolano indelible traces of the fasts of Imperial Rome, buried by ashes and lapilli, but come back to light in all their ancient splendour. Jewels, mosaics, imposing villas, flashes of daily life that are and will stay in the memory of each one of us.

 LA REGGIA DI CASERTA

Caserta, the ancient “Galatia” of Etruscan and Samnites origins, going through the Longobard and then the Norman domination, leave to us, today, a territory rich of history that has not been well represented so far. It is worth to remember that the Bourbons proclaimed it as their residence, building a Royal Palace that supposed to exceed in beauty the French one of “Versailles”. In our opinion, and not only, they very well succeeded leaving to us a precious testimony of grandeur and beauty unanimously defined “one of the most harmonious, most logical, most perfect architectural creations of all times” declared (as many other places in Campania)  UNESCO world heritage.
