The hourglass, owner of the trademark “CASALETTOCAPPUCCINO” has the pleasure to introduce the Phlegrean fields or “burning fields” how they were seen and called by the first Greek colonies. To fully understand this land and its sea, one must rediscover its traces, from the first disembarks on the Cuma coasts, following the geopolitical and economical changes due to the Roman empire influence and to a unique phenomenon : The Bradyseism (a geological phenomenon), marking the fate of both man and cities, leaving unique archaeological evidence on land and in the sea. The ancient vestige, like smells and flavours of this land, which man and nature have created, amalgamated and destroyed throughout the centuries asks the heirs of the Mediterranean, the task to preserve and pass on as our inheritance . Our task is that to guide you in a “grantour” of the Phlegrean grounds step by step.
